Our Genesis: From VGD to Vanelton Media
Our story began in 2021, under the initial banner of VGD – an abbreviation for Vanelton Gamedev. In those formative years, our focus was exclusively on game development, driven by the creativity and engineering background of our founder, Vanelton Junior. Vanelton is a software engineer, designer, game-designer, and a dedicated philanthropist. His clear vision was to craft something grand from humble beginnings.
A significant milestone was achieved in 2023 with the launch of our inaugural game, FlatSoccer. This game was a demonstration of our technical capabilities and our commitment to pushing boundaries. FlatSoccer featured advanced networking features developed from the ground up, entirely free from reliance on external frameworks or pre-existing artificial intelligence solutions. This approach solidified our reputation and prepared us for the chapters that lay ahead.
Evolution and Expansion: Embracing the Future
The year 2024 marked a pivotal turning point in our trajectory. Driven by a curiosity and a desire to explore new technological frontiers, Vanelton Junior embarked on a study of Artificial Intelligence. He recognized its transformative potential across various industries. It was during this period that an encounter with Lucas de Morais, from 1101 Productions and their project FZ – a football game inspired by Haxball – became a catalyst for our expansion.
This collaboration proved impactful, leading to the integration of 1101 Productions as a subsidiary of Vanelton Gamedev. This amalgamation of talents and shared visions paved the way for a greater metamorphosis: Vanelton Gamedev proudly evolved into Vanelton Media. With this rebranding, the company broadened its operational scope, establishing new subsidiaries, such as Volcam Studios (which succeeded 1101 Productions), and repositioning Vanelton Gamedev as a dedicated personal subsidiary of Vanelton Junior.
